• Traditional Uses:

  - Historically known for its powerful purifying properties, thyme essential oil is a wonderful addition to your home cleaning arsenal to keep the air pure and clean surfaces. It also helps to repel insects.

  - It has a long history in the ancient pharmacopoeia, and today it is used extensively to medicate gauze and wool for surgical dressings

  - used to prevent rancidity and preservation of foods

  - During the epidemic diseases in Europe, people carried Thyme of ward off infection.

  THERAPEUTIC PROPERTIES:

  Digestive - promotes appetite, eases abdominal distension and relieves flatulence

  Immune- recommended for all infections as it stimulates the whilte blood corpuscles so it strengthens the body's immune system

  Musculoskeletal - used to ease gout, rheumatic pain and arthritis and sporting injuries

  Nervous - beneficial in cases of nervous depression and mental fatigue and also recommended for headaches and stress-related complaints

  Respiratory - used for any cold condition involving weakness, congestion and/or infection of the lungs

  Skincare - A tonic for the scalp and may be effective with dandruff and hair loss. Often helpful with wounds and sores as well as dermatitis.

• IN A AROMA DIFFUSER / HUMIDIFIER / NEBULISER

  Add 30 to 40 drops (1.5 – 2ml) or as suggested by the manufacturer.

  IN AN OIL BURNER

  Add 5 to 10 drops (0.2 to 0.5ml) to warm water in the lid of a burner. Light a tealight candle and place in the hearth of the burner. The heat will allow the scent to diffuse and fill the room of about 10 to 20 m2.

  IN A MASSAGE

  Add 3 to 5 drops (0.2ml) to 15 ~ 30ml of a carrier oil. Massage deeply into muscle.

  
  

• STORAGE

  Always store in dark glass bottle and in a cool and dark place away from heat and sunlight.

  Do not use a plastic container.

  SAFETY

  Non-toxic and non-irritating, may be sensitising to some individuals. Do not use in excess. A very potent oil, one of the strongest antiseptics and toxicity is possible with prolonged usage Inhalations may be preferable to direct contact with skin as it could irritate the skin. Avoid during high blood pressure or pregnancy

  CAUTION

  Always dilute with carrier oil before applying on skin

  Perform a patch test to observe allergic reactions before use.

  Keep out of reach from children and pets.

  Avoid contact with eyes. Do not ingest.

  Avoid touching on lacquer or painted surfaces.
