Ginger oil is a yellow liquid with a warm but fresh-woody spicy odour.
BOTANICAL NAME: Zingiber officinale
PLANT FAMILY: Zingiberaceae
EXTRACTION METHOD: Steam distillation of the rhizome (roots)

TRADITIONAL USES:
- Originally used as a spice
- Used to treat rheumatism, toothache and malaria
- Used in TCM for colds and chills, to promote sweating, expel mucous and stimulate appetite
THERAPEUTIC PROPERTIES:
Circulatory - Recommended for poor circulation, cold hands and feet, cardiac fatigue and angina pectoris
Digestive - Indicated for poor digestion, abdominal distension and flatulence
Musculoskeletal - Used in a compress or massage for rheumatism, arthritis and muscular pain of a cold contracting type.
Respiratory - Recommended for catarrhal conditions, coughs, sinusitis and sore throats
IN A AROMA DIFFUSER / HUMIDIFIER / NEBULISER
Add 30 to 40 drops (1.5 – 2ml) or as suggested by the manufacturer.
IN AN OIL BURNER
Add 5 to 10 drops (0.2 to 0.5ml) to warm water in the lid of a burner. Light a tealight candle and place in the hearth of the burner. The heat will allow the scent to diffuse and fill the room of about 10 to 20 m2.
IN A MASSAGE
Add 3 to 5 drops (0.2ml) to 15 ~ 30ml of a carrier oil. Massage deeply into muscle.
STORAGE
Always store in dark glass bottle and in a cool and dark place away from heat and sunlight.
Do not use a plastic container.
