Fennel sweet oil is a clear liquid with a sweet, slightly peppery, spicy odour reminiscent of anise.
BOTANICAL NAME: Foeniculum vulgare
PLANT FAMILY: Umbelliferae or Apiaceae
EXTRACTION METHOD: Steam distillation of the seeds
VOLATILITY: Middle Note

TRADITIONAL USES:
- Widely used in culinary preparations for flavouring bread and pastry, in candies, alcoholic liqueurs as well as in oral and medicinal preparations.
- Used in TCM to treat snake bites
THERAPEUTIC PROPERTIES:
Digestive - Used as a stomachic and a carminative in treating flatulence and other digestive problems.
Lymphatic - Used for treat fluid retention, cellulite and obesity.
Respiratory - Recommended for catarrh of the upper respiratory tract.
Urinary - Used for the treatment of urinary tract infections.
Skincare - Recommended for the treatment of dull, oily and mature skin types.
Reproductive - helpful with pre-menstrual tension, scanty periods, well known for increasing milk in nursing mothers.
IN A AROMA DIFFUSER / HUMIDIFIER / NEBULISER
Add 30 to 40 drops (1.5 – 2ml) or as suggested by the manufacturer.
IN AN OIL BURNER
Add 5 to 10 drops (0.2 to 0.5ml) to warm water in the lid of a burner. Light a tealight candle and place in the hearth of the burner. The heat will allow the scent to diffuse and fill the room of about 10 to 20 m2.
IN A MASSAGE
Add 3 to 5 drops (0.2ml) to 15 ~ 30ml of a carrier oil. Massage deeply into muscle.
STORAGE
Always store in dark glass bottle and in a cool and dark place away from heat and sunlight.
Do not use a plastic container.
