EXTRACTION METHOD: Steam distillation of the needles (leaves)

  • Traditional Uses:

    - Also known as Scotch Pine, this is a great essential oil for purifying and cleaning, and is great at removing odors.

    - extensively used in pharmaceutical preparations for cough and cold medicines, vaporising fluids, nasal decongestants and analgesic ointments

    - used for room fresheners, disinfectants, soaps and detergents

    THERAPEUTIC PROPERTIES:

    Muscular Aches and Pain - may be used in a liniment to relieve the pain of rheumatism and arthritis and for muscular aches from over-exertion

    Nervous - is effective for combating fatigue and nervous exhaustion

    Respiratory - used for sinus and bronchial congestion, coughs, asthma and bronchitis. Best use for chest infections eg: pneumonia and other lung infections. It is expectorant and a very powerful antiseptic. Inhalations of Pine are equally good for colds and sore throats.

    Urinary - useful for conditions such as cystitis and pyelitis
