Cypress Essential Oil

Cypress oil is a clear liquid with a hint of yellow. It has a woody, nutty and smoky aroma with a slightly spicy, resinous undertone.

• TRADITIONAL USES:
  

  Was used as ingredient for whooping cough for children. These days often used in perfumery for masculine note.

  THERAPEUTIC PROPERTIES:

  Nervous - Seems to have a soothing effect on anger and relieves sweaty palms.

  Reproductive - Used to relieve painful periods and recommended for heavy period, pre-menstrual tension and menopause symptoms, eg: hot flushes, hormone imbalance

  Respiratory - Effective as a cough remedy for the management of acute and chronic bronchitis and whooping cough

  Skincare - Used for acne, oily and over-hydrated skins and is recommended for excessive perspiration. It is also recommended in a foot bath for excessive sweating of the feet.

  Circulatory - With its vaso-constricting effect on the veins, helpful with varicose veins and haemorrhoids.

• IN A AROMA DIFFUSER / HUMIDIFIER / NEBULISER
  

  Add 30 to 40 drops (1.5 – 2ml) or as suggested by the manufacturer.

  IN AN OIL BURNER

  Add 5 to 10 drops (0.2 to 0.5ml) to warm water in the lid of a burner. Light a tealight candle and place in the hearth of the burner. The heat will allow the scent to diffuse and fill the room of about 10 to 20 m2.

  IN A MASSAGE

  Add 3 to 5 drops (0.2ml) to 15 ~ 30ml of a carrier oil. Massage deeply into muscle.

  
  

• STORAGE

  Always store in dark glass bottle and in a cool and dark place away from heat and sunlight.

  Do not use a plastic container.

  SAFETY

  Non-toxic, non-irritatant and non-sensitising. Best not to use during pregnancy due to it's effect of regulates the menstrual cycle.
  

  CAUTION
  

  Always dilute with carrier oil before applying on skin

  Perform a patch test to observe allergic reactions before use.

  Keep out of reach from children and pets.

  Avoid contact with eyes. Do not ingest.

  Avoid touching on lacquer or painted surfaces.
